As I waited for the production to start, I got prepared as much as I could. As the energy raced through my body, I quickly got to the house and waited for the lights to shine. The show begins ... I am pumping with energy and am waiting for my line. As the opening scene at the house starts to finish I quickly sneak out as a shadow. Firing to get into my costume and be reborn. Next scene coming up. I am ready as an apple tree. But there is a problem . I need to get to the middle. I slowly creep across the stage and into the middle. I hear my cue as I am our there standing ready to talk.
Blasting with expression I project my voice ...' Oh my apples!' I say.
My arms begin to wobble as I stand there arms stretched as long as branches.
The scene rolls on. Slowly I creep off the stage. I felt very happy as I knew my lines.
I couldn't wait for my next scene. I was so full of energy that I couldn't wait to blast it out. God rushed in and pointed the mightly finger, as god, at Badjelly. I was so proud of the way that I spoke clearly and acted very well. But I have still got to practice this.
The next turn for me was my poem. I practised my expression in my head while i was waiting for my turn. My poem was about war ... for the feeling and knowing what it actually means and how bad war is. I stepped to one side on the stage and spoke very clearly about the idea of war. The I changed my voice to a bit lower and sadder and stepped to the other side to say about the reality of war. I felt happy that I spoke loudly and clearly.
I reaaly liked the night and feel I did well. It was heaps of fun.

As part of our focus on music this year I have been learning the piano


Apiti Show Learning Tasks – 2011
· Local Photo of our area, or something in the area with a set of 6 cards developed using photo editing software.
· Mobile depicting old items (within a theme) or items over the years.
· Still life painting - representing an item that was used in the area (from the generations before us). The painting can be painted in an artist’s style or my own style.

My Reflection of Progress in the Arts
I was proud of the colours I used to panit my knife . I used water to change the colour of my floor boards. I practised painting techniques Iike long brush strokes. On my mobile I showed how milking has changed from the olden days till now. I used a bucket, old cups and new cups to show this. Next time I will use an old bucket with cracks and a new silver cup to show the difference between very old and very new.

The Goodnight Kiwi
The sun went down. The kiwi woke up as the moon slowly floated across the sky. It was night time and it was dinner time.
He found a big, juicy worm.
“MmmMmm . That’s yum,” he thought as he gobbled it.
I chose to create this hungry kiwi because Kiwis are so cute and I want to look after them.
I am a New Zealand kiwi with a long sticky nose and slow creeping feet.


2009
I learnt how to make a paper mache bowl. I like the colours on the bowl. I like the pictures of the cars on it. I like how I paper mached the bowl.
I learnt how to make a pottery leaf bowl. I made sure that the sides were smooth. We had to make the shape from a leaf.
I learnt how to paint a still life. I mixed different colours to make an apple colour. I used white and green. I like the green apple because it took a long time. I worked hard on it.
